Pastor’s Message

Reaching out from Grand Lake Community Chapel

Wednesday, June 25, 2025

Greetings in Christ!

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!  Let us rejoice in blue skies, puffy clouds, and moderate temperatures, and let us be glad that the extreme heat and nasty storms of the past few days have moved on!  Up North days like today are why we love living in God’s Country, so let’s get out there and make the most of it!  Take a walk, go for a bike ride, sit by the water, or get out on the water if you have the means; embrace this grand day!

As you find the best way to embrace this grand day, remember who gave us this grand day, and give thanks.  Give thanks for flowers in full bloom, give thanks for gentle breezes, give thanks for rippling waves, give thanks for the sounds of children at play.  Give thanks to God for all things, especially on this truly spectacular summer’s day.  And if you have some work to do, do so with joy in your heart, because even work can be a delight on a day such as this.  Be on the lookout for “Godwinks,” they’re going to be all around you today, and every day, rain or shine – but they’re often easier to spot on a beautiful day like today.

Blessings,

Karen and Greg
