Reaching out from Grand Lake Community Chapel

Greetings in Christ!
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it! Let us rejoice in another day in Up North paradise, and let us be glad for the myriad blessings we receive from our loving God! Sometimes we can take the wonders around us for granted, or maybe worse, diminish them in our minds; if and when these things happen, we should do everything in our power to shake off our complacency and allow ourselves to be awed once again.
Think about ships on the big lake, sailboats passing by during the Port Huron to Mackinac race, their sails filled with the wind. Miracles in so many ways. Think about young people splashing in the waves along the Huron shore, swimming in Grand Lake or in Lake Esau; simple joys accompanied by laughter and happy voices. Think about the trails that lace their ways through the woods, with surprises at every turn; a squirrel here, a rabbit there, a beautiful flower just up ahead. These, and countless other things, are gifts from God to us, that we should never tire of seeing, and never, ever take for granted. Just as the presence of the Divine is everywhere in our lives, sometimes so much so that we forget that we’re never truly alone in this life, God’s blessings are all around us. Let us endeavor to seek them out and cherish them.
Blessings,
Karen and Greg
