Greetings in Christ!
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it! Let us rejoice in the ongoing celebrations of the Christmas season, and let us be glad that we’re getting a bit of a respite from the deep freeze so that the roads and our driveways can lose some of the ice left over from the pre-Christmas storm!
This is our last email before the New Year, so it seems to us that it might be good to take a look back over the year that was 2022; as is the case with every year, there were wonderful highs and devastating lows. We celebrated marriages and the lives of those who entered the Church Triumphant, breakthroughs in medicine amazed us, and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine saddened us. We rejoiced in miraculous healings of loved ones, and cried over heartbreaking diagnoses, and prayed hard for God’s right and perfect answers to all of our questions and concerns. We don’t know everything that might have happened in your lives over the course of the year, but we do know that whatever happened, God was (and remains) present to you in it all. And we do know that God will be present in whatever 2023 will bring, if we will invite him to walk through the year with us – and if we’re willing to listen for his still, small voice when we voice our joys and concerns. We’re not really big fans of New Year’s resolutions, but we do make one every year; that in the year that is to be, we resolve to walk with the Almighty every day, in every circumstance. That resolution has served us very well over the years, even when we’ve stumbled and fallen short of the goal (maybe especially then… ), and we invite you to join us in making this New Year’s resolution along with us. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives in 2022, and we look forward to sharing 2023 with you in love, hope, joy, and peace.
Blessings to you!

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:19
